Hunting/Stalking

Deer stalking and bird shooting takes place on both forestry and private estates located close to the Lochinvar Hotel.

Dumfries and Galloway is well known for its stalking of Roe and Red deer, if shooting for game is what you require you won't be disappointed, there are plenty of private estates where you can shoot for pheasant, rabbit, grouse, snipe, woodcock, partridge, duck and goose.
